Creators: Evgenii Ivanovich Zamiatin (1884-1937) and Gregory Zilboorg (1890-1959) [Translator] "We" by Evgenii Ivanovich Zamiatin is a dystopian novel written in 1920–1921. In a future totalitarian state built of glass, citizens live by strict schedules and are known only by numbers. D-503, a spacecraft engineer, begins keeping a journal but becomes entangled with the rebellious I-330, who introduces him to an underground resistance. As he's drawn into a plot against the oppressive One State, D-503 must choose between conformity and freedom, reason and emotion. (This is an automatically generated summary.)
