How to use it

Format a post without losing your draft.

  1. 1. Write or paste your post into the editor.
  2. 2. Select only the words you want to emphasize, then choose bold, italic, bold-italic, underline or strikethrough.
  3. 3. Format lines with bullets, numbers or arrows, and add a professional symbol where useful.
  4. 4. Check the preview and count, then copy the finished text into LinkedIn.

Important limitations

  • • Styling uses Unicode characters; it is not LinkedIn-native rich text.
  • • Bold and italic mappings cover Latin letters; bold also supports digits.
  • • Emojis, accents, punctuation and unsupported scripts remain unchanged.
  • • Platform rendering can vary by device, font and assistive technology.

Frequently asked questions

LinkedIn formatting, explained

Does LinkedIn support real bold and italic text?

LinkedIn posts do not provide a traditional rich-text editor. This tool converts supported Latin letters into visually styled Unicode characters that can be pasted into a post.

Does Folarin store my LinkedIn post?

No. Formatting, previewing and counting happen in your browser. Your draft is not sent to Supabase or an external processing service.

Will line breaks remain when I copy?

Yes. The copy action preserves the editor’s line breaks and spacing. LinkedIn may still apply its own display rules after you paste.

Can I restore ordinary text?

Yes. Select part of the post and choose Remove formatting, or use the same action without a selection to restore all supported styled letters and remove underline or strikethrough marks.

Is stylized Unicode accessible?

Not always. Some screen readers announce styled characters individually, and search may treat them differently. Use ordinary text for essential information and apply styling sparingly.
